MINUTES
BOARD MEETING
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2004
PENN STATE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
GREATER JACKSONVILLE CHAPTER

PRESENT: Bill Dusack, President, Danielle Howard, Secretary, Richard Holtz, Athletic Events Chair, Jim Schultz, Volunteer Chair, and Jodie Davis, Social Chair.

ABSENT: Josiah Pritchard, Vice President, Bob Streightiff, Treasurer, and Judie Crabb, Ad Hoc Member.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00PM by Bill Dusack, President.

The minutes of the February 10, 2004 meeting were reviewed and approved 5 - 0.

The purpose of this meeting is to finalize the upcoming spring events.

Jim reported that Habijax finally contacted us and that the PSU students would be here the week of March 8th, and that they have an open day on Friday, March 12th. It was decided we would try to meet them on Wednesday or Thursday and that the chapter would host the kids and pick up the tab for lunch.

Discussion turned to the spring banquet location and costs. Board members have gathered information from the Marriott, Sun Cruise Casinos, and Dave and Buster's so far. It was decided that we needed to find some more options and the following assignments were handed out:
Jodie-Dave & Buster's, UNF
Jim-navy base
Bill-Jax Golf & CC
Danielle-Sea Turtle & Radisson
Rich-Budweiser brewery

Each person will report their findings to Jodie by Friday, February 20th and she will compile a list of options for the Board to vote on via e-mail.

The spring newsletter was discussed. Bill has already requested the chapter's $339.23 postage allocation from the University. A deadline of Friday, March 5th was set to get any articles to Danielle for the newsletter.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:15 PM.
