The Greater Jacksonville Chapter designated Wednesday, March 12, 2003 as our local community service day. 10 Local volunteers from the Chapter joined with 16 Penn State students at a local HabiJax site to work on building a new home. The Chapter wants to recognize and thank Jim Shultz for organizing this activity.

The Singing Lions are Penn State University's premiere student song and dance ensemble. To an appreciative audience, they presented choreographed performances of jazz, Broadway and pop music. Every year over Spring Break, the Singing Lions travel to places around the U.S. to spread Penn State pride. This year, we were lucky enough to be on their tour. We had a crowd of 150 to enjoy a fantastic show! The Chapter wants to recognize and thank all our members and friends who attended this event and providing housing for the students.
